BMoreSTEM provides this partner post that may be of interest to students:
My name is Marissa Massey and I am the Program Coordinator for Outreach and Recruitment within the Center for Minorities in Science and Engineering in the A. James Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. The Center for Minorities in Science and Engineering provides academic support services and outreach programs designed to recruit, retain, and graduate African American, Latin-X/Hispanic American, Native American, and Pacific Islander engineering students.

ESTEEM/SER-Quest is an intensive 4-week research-focused summer program at the University of Maryland College Park for students who are currently in the 11th grade and who have a serious interest in majoring in Engineering and attending the University of Maryland College Park in Fall 2023. Here is the link to the program information: https://eng.umd.edu/minorities/k-12-programs/esteem-ser-quest

CMSE is hosting an early information session on Thursday, Dec. 16th from 6-7 pm for students to learn more about the ESTEEM/SER-Quest program and the application components before the application opens on January 3rd. Please share this with students who you believe will be successful and benefit from the program. You may share this with other STEM teachers as well. Thank you!

The target populations are underrepresented students in engineering (African American, Latin-X/Hispanic American, Native American, and Pacific Islander )
